Today I had a tutorial with Adele looking into lesson plan's and how to make them more suitable and how to use the day more successfully.
I have learnt that...
- Make sure you leave enough explaining time.
- Demonstration is the best way to tell them what to do
- It's good to engage them into it before starting for example asking the question what is carnival? what creature's in the ocean can you think of?
- You can split them into smaller groups for more difficult activities
- Helpers are a great way to make sure things are done in the right way.
- Template's speed things along
- Make sure you keep reminding them about not mixing colours or only give them one colour at a time
- Make sure you remember to allow drying time.
- Children love to do the 'big reveal' in tie-dye so make sure i leave it up to them to get the elastic bands off the t-shirts
